Graeme is a highly regarded, experienced transport advisor and expert having led and managed very successful transport operations for over 40-years in both rail and bus modes across Australia as well as in South East Asia, Southern Africa and North America.

He has advised heads of Government and transport agencies on transport policy, strategy, planning and operations and played a critical leadership role in the development and delivery of world-class public transportation projects both within Australia and overseas.  To this day many of those projects continue to draw international acclaim for their success.  Graeme has had the benefit of both being client as well as the service provider/operator.  He has specialized expertise in modal co-ordination and integration for developing wholistic solutions to deliver end to end access and mobility solutions.

In addition to his high-level strategic experience, Graeme’s expertise continues to be sought for developing innovative solutions that leverage maximum value and benefits from public transport investments.  He has led large planning, project and operational teams within the framework of a contracted services model.

His experience in rail includes heavy metro, light rail, tram, regional rail and fully automated rail systems.  His rail expertise in planning and operations also extends to the freight sector in developing new operating strategies for the cost-efficient delivery of freight for both the mining and grain sectors.

Prior to joining SmedTech Graeme was head of operations, planning, fleet and maintenance for the Metrolinx RER Project in Toronto, Canada which is set to dramatically transform the Greater Toronto Region.
