Kris is a Principal Advisor at Smedley Technical and Strategic (SmedTech) and has been involved in a wide range of projects for government authorities in Australia and the Middle East. His experience covers project management, infrastructure advice for major transport projects, preparation of project documents (procurement, transaction, contractual) for Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects, technical advice for business cases and the development of infrastructure strategies.

During his time at SmedTech, Kris has worked on some of Victoria’s largest major transport infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on the development of project documentation for significant road PPP projects, including the North East Link Project, the Suburban Roads Upgrade Project and the Western Roads Upgrade Project. Each of these PPPs are highly complex projects which have introduced new technical and commercial concepts to the PPP market in Australia.

In his role as an advisor, Kris has worked in and alongside integrated project teams with Government clients, supporting senior decision making. This includes client delivery authorities, central Government agencies such as the Department of Treasury and Finance and Department of Transport, technical advisors, legal and commercial advisors and land, planning and statutory approval advisors.

Prior to joining Smedley Technical and Strategic, Kris worked for an engineering consultancy (GHD) on the West Gate Tunnel project, playing a role in the development the West Gate Tunnel project documentation. He also provided technical advice and expertise to the business case and planning approvals processes for this project.
