Richard has extensive experience on the planning, design and delivery of major transport infrastructure projects, having worked in the industry for over 45 years. In that time, Richard has held key leadership roles on such significant projects as the Regional Rail Link Package B, Hume Freeway (Craigieburn Bypass), Calder Freeway, the Western Ring Road, and more recently on the planning associated with the Level Crossing Removal program, the WestGate Tunnel Project, Western Roads Upgrade PPP and the North East Link .

Richard has considerable experience in successfully delivering Environmental Effects Statements (EES) in Victoria. Richard was the Project Director for some of the most recent major transport EES studies, such as the Western Highway Project Sections 2 and 3, the Princes Highway Duplication and the Peninsula Link Project. Richard was also the Project Director for the team undertaking the Comprehensive Impact Statement for the East West Link.
