Experience

North East Link

SmedTech was engaged by the Victorian Government in 2017 to help establish the North East Link project team and to advise on the development of the Business Case for this vital infrastructure Project. Since that time, SmedTech has continued to advise on this project through early concept design development, traffic engineering and modelling, environmental and statutory approvals, delivery strategy, procurement documentation, evaluation, negotiation and delivery. SmedTech continues to provide advice to the Victorian Government as the Project is delivered and we are also advising the North East Link State Tolling Corporation (STC) as they prepare to take over the asset at completion and in respect of the toll pricing structure that will be implemented.

Logan West Upgrade

The $1.8b Western Roads Upgrade involves the design and construction of seven arterial road upgrades, a modification of a freeway interchange, and the rehabilitation and long term maintenance of 260kms of Melbourne’s arterial road network over a period of 20 years under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model; the first of its kind in Australia.

Transmission Projects

SmedTech has been engaged on a number of transmission projects to support the development of the Project Scope and Delivery Requirements (PSDR) documents for these major infrastructure procurements. This support role has varied from directly developing the PSDR’s or undertaking independent reviews of other PSDR’s through to undertaking collaborative reviews with the project team where we ran a series of workshops to identify and resolve or mitigate risks.
